Present Continuous Tense digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu tindakan / kejadian yang sedang berlangsung pada waktu sekarang atau ketika kejadian itu masih sedang berlangsung pada saat kita membicarakannya. Contoh :
 I am playing football in the yard now.
(Saya sedang bermain sepak bola di lapangan sekarang dan ketika saya mengatakan ini saya masih sedang bermain bola.)

Affirmative (+)
S + is/am/are + V-ing + O
Example :
 She is washing her dresses at this time.
Negative (-)
S + is/am/are + not + V-ing + O
Example :
 She is not washing her dresses at this time.
Interrogative (?)
Is/Am/Are + S + V-ing +.... ?
Example :
 Is she washing her dresses ?


KETERANGAN WAKTU:
Now, at the moment, this afternoon, this evening, right now, when he comes.
Note : Ketika ada kata kerja seperti:
Look!, Listen!, Watch!, Notice! ( Imperative), maka tenses nya Present Continuous.
Contoh :
* Look! The man is climbing.
* Listen! The girls next door are singing my favourite song.
